Mountain Goat Goes All-American for NFL Game Day

Mountain Goat is going all-American as Melbourne prepares to host its first NFL game, transforming the Richmond brewery into a slice of America packed with football, a one-off speciality beer and a major, secret prize for some lucky fans.

NFL Game Day at Mountain Goat, hosted by sports comedy trio Kick It Forward, is the place to be to catch all the action. The brewery will open from 8.30am, showing the action live and loud with US-style food and fresh beer.

To celebrate the historic occasion, Mountain Goat is brewing a 5.2% American Pale Ale made with US hops, available exclusively on-tap for Game Day.

Mountain goat, Jerry, will endeavour to predict the winning team, choosing between grains from bowls painted in each team's colours.

The Goat Prophecy, will be revealed the day before the big game, and the American Pale Ale badged in his chosen team’s colours. Whether Jerry is a football forecasting genius or simply a hungry goat remains to be seen.

There’s also a major, secret prize up for grabs for fans who arrive before 9am, with details being kept under wraps until the day.

Tickets for NFL Game Day are $20 and include two Mountain Goat pints.

Doors open at 8.30am on Friday September 11, with pre-game entertainment kicking off at 9.30am.
