It is with regret that Asahi Beverages announces that Robert Iervasi, our Group CEO, will be leaving the business.

After 16 years with the business, Robert has decided it’s time for a break to spend more time with his family for personal reasons and to enjoy a career break.

Roland van Bommel, Chairman of Asahi Holdings Australia, said: “Robert joined Asahi Beverages in 2006 and during this time he worked across many aspects of the business. In 2019, he was promoted to Group CEO of our Oceania business.

“Robert played a critical role in the successful integration of Carlton & United Breweries and the Oceania business has delivered consistent business results under his leadership.

“We wish Robert and his family all the very best for the future"

“Asahi Beverages is delighted to announce that we have appointed Amanda Sellers, our Group Chief Financial Officer, as our interim Group CEO Oceania, effective immediately, whilst we work through a permanent replacement for this role. Amanda is an incredibly talented leader and we are fortunate to have her as our interim CEO.”

Asahi Beverages has unveiled a new $60m canning line at Australia’s biggest brewery at Yatala, Queensland to meet the growing demand for cans over stubbies. Up to 400 million cans of Australia’s best beers will roll off the new line each year, including Great Northern, Victoria Bitter and Carlton Dry.

Asahi Beverages announces executive changes

Asahi Beverages is pleased to announce the appointment of Nigel Parsons as Chief Commercial Officer, commencing on 1 April 2025. This is a new role at Asahi Beverages, with the Chief Commercial Officer to have responsibility for the Group’s commercial and sales functions across Australia and New Zealand, covering alcohol and non-alcohol. Nigel will continue to report to Group CEO Amanda Sellers.

Statement from Great Northern

Great Northern’s Outdoors for a Cause campaign was yesterday reassessed following feedback from our passionate drinkers. Our donation to the Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife will now not be used to buy land to add to national parks. Our donation will instead be used for the preservation of endangered species.

Australia’s leading beverages company Asahi Beverages has entered a landmark new partnership with the Australian Turf Club. Vegemite and Foodbank put a rose in every cheek for Aussies in need

Beloved Aussie spread, VEGEMITE, is proud to be supporting Foodbank – Australia’s largest food relief organisation – by supplying 436,000 150g VEGEMITE jars with assistance from its partners to help communities facing food insecurity. This has been made possible through Foodbank’s Collaborative Supply Program and will make 13 million serves of VEGEMITE available for Aussies in need.

Asahi Super Dry extends Rugby World Cup success story with support of Men’s and Women’s Tournaments until 2029

Japan’s number one beer Asahi Super Dry is continuing its successful partnership with Rugby World Cup by becoming Official Beer and Principal Partner of all tournaments until 2029 including Women’s Rugby World Cup England 2025 and Australia 2029 as well as Men’s Rugby World Cup Australia 2027. Asahi Beverages and BaptistCare tap into largest NSW Solar Farm

Asahi Beverages and BaptistCare have taken significant steps towards their sustainability goals by partnering with Flow Power to source and offset energy from New England Solar, the largest solar project in NSW and equal-largest in the National Electricity Market (NEM). These agreements with Flow Power, a fast-growing renewable energy retailer, underscore each organisation’s ongoing commitment to meeting their renewable energy targets.
