VB, official beer of State of Origin, are giving two lucky League fans from Brisbane and Sydney the ultimate match day experience, flying them and a mate in a private jet to Melbourne for SOO Game two and returning home without missing a day’s work.

Titled VB Thirst Class, the promotion celebrates the launch of VB’s new VB 3.5% Mid Strength beer. With the classic VB character, VB Mid is made for when the day is done but the job isn’t.

Winners will be taken on a VIP experience from knock off to kick off, departing straight after work on Wednesday afternoon and heading direct to the MCG in time for the action on June 17.

Guests will fly home and return to work before clock-on the next day, having experienced the most incredible State of Origin mid-week trip to brag about to their work mates.

VB Mid will be poured on board, with State of Origin legends Matt Cooper (NSW) and Brent Tate (QLD) also joining the adventure, making the journey as much a part of the experience as the game itself.

With seven State of Origin series wins between them, Matt and Brent are just as eager as the fans to get to Game two at the MCG in Thirst Class, ready to watch an atmospheric showdown in the largest stadium in the southern hemisphere.

VB Senior Brand Manager Genevieve Greene said:

“VB drinkers work hard, day-in, day-out, and with the launch of VB Mid Strength, we’re recognising that even when the day’s done, sometimes the job isn’t.

“We know fans want to get to big moments like State of Origin, but still have to front up to work the next day. That’s what inspired the VB private jet experience - flying winners and a mate each to Melbourne for Game two for an unforgettable experience, all whilst being back home in time for clock on the next day. It’s a simple truth, brought to life in an unmistakably VB way.”

Five-time State of Origin series winner for Queensland, Brent Tate said:

“I played 23 games of Origin across my career, but this could be the one I’m looking forward to the most!

“Travelling on board a VB private yet, surrounded by the most passionate Maroons fans for the all-important Game two... it’s a pretty special moment.

“For any League fan who is thinking about making the trip over – why wouldn’t you start here!?”

Two-time State of Origin series winner for New South Wales, Matt Cooper said:

“For proud State of Origin and Blues fans, game-day is like nothing else, and getting to fly on a private VB jet to Melbourne will easily be the most memorable of experiences.

“The iconic rivalry playing out on neutral turf always delivers a must-see game, and this allows fans to join us onboard and at the G without sacrificing your work or weekly plans.”
