Great Northern will double your shout to Rural Aid for four days only

It’s the last call on The Great Shout for 2026, with the beer brand matching donations up to $100,000 from Thursday 28 May to Sunday 31 May or until the matching fund is exhausted*.
With the fundraising initiative kicking off at Magic Round in mid-May, the bell will keep ringing to bring in much needed funds for Rural Aid and vital support for Queensland farmers.
To get involved, Great Northern is asking all Australians to ‘shout a farmer a beer’ through a $10 online donation to Rural Aid. Simply visit the Rural Aid website, donate and Great Northern will match it.
In hopes to raise the bar for its second year, The Great Shout is aiming to collect more than $600,000 in donations to help Rural Aid continue their essential work – that’s double the amount raised in 2025.
Support so far for farmers has extended well beyond the online donations, with Great Northern providing around 500 kegs of Great Northern Super Crisp to more than 200 pubs and clubs across Queensland, from which a portion of proceeds was donated. Great Northern also donated 50c from every Great Northern Super Crisp schooner sold at Suncorp Stadium during Magic Round.
Great Northern Brewing Co spokesman, Ian Giles said the momentum of the first week of the initiative has been pleasing to see.
“We saw significant support in participating pubs and at Suncorp stadium in the first weekend of The Great Shout, and now we are doubling down on ensuring we deliver the most funds possible to Rural Aid as we close out the initiative in 2026,” Mr Giles said.
“Throughout the last fortnight, I have spent time in Cairns, Townsville and Brisbane speaking with farmers who had travelled in from surrounding rural communities after being affected by drought, flood and fire – and it’s clear that the support from Rural Aid makes real impact. That’s why we are so proud of this partnership and the efforts tied to The Great Shout.”
Rural Aid CEO John Warlters said The Great Shout will raise funds to support Rural Aid’s work in assisting rural Queensland communities affected by flooding, drought and rising costs.
“Farmers across rural Queensland are dealing with recent flooding, ongoing dry conditions and higher operating costs, and it’s putting real strain on farm businesses and household budgets. The Great Shout gives Australians a way to support farmers, and these funds will help deliver practical and emotional support to those communities who are facing tough times,” Mr Warlters said.
“It has been great to see the support from people across the country, particularly at Magic Round, since ringing the bell across Queensland to kick off the 2026 program.”
“Be part of the Great Shout now to see your donation doubled by Great Northern. There’s never been a better time to get involved.”
