Corona updates Australian range with new 330ml bottle and lower recommended pricing, as consumer preferences change

Corona will reduce its bottle size and lower its recommended retail price (RRP) as it responds to changing consumer demand in the international beer segment, from mid July 2026.

The famous beer will now be sold in 330ml bottles in Australia instead of the 355ml size. Importantly however, the RRP of Corona will be reduced too so that consumers won’t pay any more per 100mL.

Corona is owned by AB InBev and distributed by Asahi Beverages in Australia, where just over half of international beers are now sold in 330ml bottle sizes or less.

Corona Marketing Manager Marc Slater said:

“Corona remains the same crisp, refreshing beer Australians love. The size of Corona bottles in Australia is changing, largely in response to changing trends, which are seeing Australian beer drinkers increasingly mindful of their alcohol consumption and cost of living concerns.

“While the size of Corona bottles is being reduced by about 7%, the RRP of a case will come down by at least the same amount. The liquid will remain unchanged.

“People are looking for brands that offer value, choice and formats that suit different occasions. The move to 330ml bottles, supported by lower recommended pricing, is part of that. It brings Corona into line with a widely recognised international beer format.”

While the liquid will remain unchanged, the reduced volume means the amount of standard drinks per bottle will lower from 1.3 to 1.2.
