As a Blending Operator at our Papakura site, you’ll prepare and blend ingredients, follow recipes and complete quality checks to help keep production running safely and smoothly.
Reporting to the Blending Coordinator, you’ll work closely with the wider team to make sure each product is made correctly and ready on time. If you enjoy hands-on work, working with others and taking pride in a quality finished product, this could be a great opportunity for you.
Please note: This is an 8-month fixed-term contract working 8-hour rotating day (6am-2pm), afternoon (2pm-10pm) and night (10pm-6am) shifts. Shift arrangements may change based on business and production needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Blend a range of beverage products by following recipes and production instructions
- Accurately weigh, measure and combine ingredients
- Complete quality checks and production paperwork
- Monitor ingredient use and help reduce product waste
- Keep work areas, equipment and tools clean and ready to use
- Help with other production tasks when needed
- Identify and help resolve issues during the blending process
- Communicate clearly with your team and raise anything that is not working as expected
- Follow all safety procedures and use the correct PPE
- Take part in team meetings and site improvement activities
About You
You’re a reliable and safety-focused team player who takes pride in doing a job well. You’re comfortable following detailed instructions, working with numbers and learning new processes.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Food handling, food/beverage production or similar hands-on experience
- Blending, batching, mixing or manufacturing experience would be beneficial, but is not essential
- An understanding of quality checks and the importance of keeping accurate records
- A strong focus on safety and following workplace procedures
- Good maths skills and confidence working with measurements and recipes
- A practical approach to solving problems
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Basic computer skills and a willingness to learn new systems
- Flexibility to work rotating day, afternoon and night shifts
This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling, including safely lifting up to 25 kg using the correct techniques.
