Head of Finance - ABNZ & Allpress

Based in Auckland, New Zealand, we’re seeking an experienced and commercially astute Head of Finance – ABNZ & Allpress to partner with senior leaders and drive sustainable growth, performance and strategic outcomes across our New Zealand operations and Allpress business.

 

This is a critical leadership role, acting as a trusted advisor to the General Manager Commercial – Oceania, Country Manager New Zealand, and Sales Director Away From Home & Allpress, influencing decision-making and delivering strong financial performance aligned to Asahi’s strategic priorities.

 

You will lead financial strategy, planning and performance across Asahi Beverages New Zealand (ABNZ) and Allpress, with full accountability for P&L, balance sheet and cashflows. You’ll provide thought leadership backed by robust analytics, helping shape investment decisions, optimise profitability and strengthen commercial outcomes.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

• Act as a trusted business advisor to senior commercial leaders, influencing strategy, investment decisions and business performance
• Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, delivering actionable financial, commercial and strategic insights
• Drive end-to-end financial performance across ABNZ and Allpress, optimising profitability, ROI and cashflow
• Provide robust challenge across strategic, commercial and operational plans to improve business outcomes and embed a One Asahi mindset
• Oversee financial governance, statutory reporting, compliance, risk management and internal controls
• Lead delivery of key planning and reporting processes including strategic planning, budget, forecasting, IBP and month-end reporting
• Champion ERP and finance transformation initiatives across ABNZ and Allpress, ensuring strong controls, data integrity and meaningful insights

 

About You

 

• Degree in Finance or Accounting, with CA/CPA (or equivalent) qualification
• Extensive experience in senior finance leadership roles with full P&L and Balance Sheet ownership
• Proven ability to partner with senior stakeholders in complex, dynamic environments (FMCG or multinational experience highly regarded)
• Experience leading finance teams across multiple markets or jurisdictions
• Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable insights
• Demonstrated leadership capability in matrix organisations, with experience developing high-performing teams
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to challenge constructively at executive level
• Experience in transformation, ERP implementation, or strategic business initiatives
• Highly analytical problem solver, comfortable operating in ambiguity and complexity
