Your Impact

Lead packaging operations at one of Australia’s most iconic breweries based in Yatala, QLD. In this senior site leadership role, you’ll set the standard for performance and continuous improvement, leveraging Asahi Way principles to deliver operational excellence.

You’ll oversee all packaging lines, drive efficiency, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards while building and developing a high-performing team.

 

A Day in the Life

Your day starts by reviewing safety and production performance before connecting with your team on the floor. You’ll lead operational priorities, troubleshoot line issues, and ensure packaging performance stays on track.

You’ll work closely with site leadership to drive continuous improvement initiatives, align resources, and deliver against key production and cost targets. Every day brings variety, with opportunities to influence outcomes, lead change, and shape the future of packaging at site.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Packaging Department to achieve site production plans deliver against safety, quality, and production targets
  • Drive performance across packaging lines (cans, bottles, kegs) to meet safety, quality, and production KPIs
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, cost, and line performance
  • Ensure packaging assets are maintained for reliability, partnering with engineering on performance and maintenance outcomes
  • Develop and communicate the department’s strategic vision and align resources to achieve long-term goals
  • Contribute as an active member of the site leadership team, working collaboratively with other stakeholders to achieve best practice site-wide

 

About You

  • Proven leadership experience in FMCG manufacturing; Engineering or related qualifications beneficial
  • Strong understanding of packaging operations, manufacturing processes and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver operational results, manage budgets, and lead change in complex environments
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing capability with a track record of building strong relationships
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance strategic and operational priorities
