At Asahi Beverages, our merchandisers are the people who bring our brands to life in store. From ensuring our products are perfectly presented to supporting exciting new product launches and promotions, this role is key to maintaining strong relationships with customers and delivering a best-in-class retail experience across Canterbury, with the main focus in Christchurch.

You will work closely with our District Sales Manager and wider sales team to ensure our brands are visible, available and presented at their best across your assigned stores.

Your Impact

In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring Asahi’s iconic beverage portfolio stands out in store. You will be responsible for maintaining high merchandising standards, executing promotions, and building strong relationships with store teams.

You will ensure our products are fully stocked, correctly priced, and presented in line with planograms and promotional activity, helping drive strong brand visibility and sales across your territory.

Key Accountabilities

• Ensure all Asahi products are merchandised in line with store ranging, sales initiatives and promotional plans

• Maintain high standards across fridges, chillers and displays including stock rotation, product facing and date checking

• Execute relays, floor displays and promotional activity ensuring products are visible, priced and shoppable for customers

• Ensure company-owned fridges and chillers are maintained to planogram standards and correctly ticketed

• Support the rollout of promotions, new product launches and in-store campaigns

• Build strong working relationships with store managers and key in-store contacts to support ongoing collaboration

• Provide feedback from stores to the wider sales team to help improve execution and customer outcomes

• Work collaboratively with the wider merchandising and sales team to ensure stores are serviced effectively

About You

• Experience in merchandising, FMCG, retail or customer service environments

• A customer-first mindset with strong relationship building skills

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage your own schedule

• Strong organisation and time management skills across multiple store visits

• High attention to detail with pride in store presentation and standards

• Comfortable with manual handling tasks including stocking and merchandising

• A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel across the Canterbury region

• Professional presentation and a passion for representing well-known brands in store
