Key Account Manager – Foodstuffs North Island

Location: Parnell, Auckland

Your Impact

As our Key Account Manager for Foodstuffs North Island, you’ll own one of our most important grocery partnerships, working closely with the Foodstuffs NI head office team in Auckland. This role is all about building strong, trusted relationships and delivering commercial outcomes across Asahi’s total beverage portfolio, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic brands.

You’ll lead the development and execution of customer plans, bring sharp commercial modelling and analysis, and partner closely with our internal field and cross-functional teams to drive sustainable growth.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and deliver customer business plans that achieve financial objectives and align to the overall channel strategy
  • Build robust commercial relationships with Foodstuffs NI stakeholders and key internal partners (including Field teams and DSMs)
  • Lead customer meetings to present plans, activity, innovation and performance, while negotiating ranging and trading terms
  • Review promotional activity and performance, evaluate ROI, and optimise trade spend
  • Develop and communicate strategic pricing models aligned to market trends, competitor activity and financial targets
  • Run quarterly business reviews, identify gaps, and drive actions to improve outcomes
  • Use scan data and insights to support sound decision-making and provide value-adding analysis to customers and the field team
  • Manage forecasting inputs and contribute to budgeting as required
  • Apply effective category management principles to support ranging and market share objectives
  • Uphold safety and environmental responsibilities in line with company requirements

About You

  • 3+ years’ experience in FMCG, ideally within grocery
  • Experience in Key Account Management or a closely related commercial role
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills across internal and external stakeholders
  • Highly capable with commercial analysis, scan data interpretation, and turning insights into action
  • Confident presenter with strong communication skills
  • Commercially savvy with proven negotiation capability
  • Forecasting experience and strong attention to detail
  • Strong project management skills and ability to prioritise effectively
  • Bachelor of Commerce, Marketing or a related field (preferred)
  • Foodstuffs experience is favourable
