Your Impact

 

As a Field Sales Manager for Independent retail (Liquor and Grocery) based in Melbourne, you will lead a high-performing field sales team to deliver exceptional in-market execution and achieve commercial objectives. By fostering a performance-driven culture, you’ll ensure targets are met through strong coaching, collaboration with stakeholders, and building customer relationships.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Commercial planning & execution: Develop and deliver area plans aligned to state commercial goals. Optimise resources, journey plans, and call centre coverage while ensuring the team has the tools and information needed to succeed.
  • Team coaching & development: Build a high-performing culture by setting clear goals, holding the team accountable, and conducting regular in-trade visits to drive sales excellence and capability.
  • Business performance reviews: Monitor financial and execution results, provide insights for planning, and take corrective action where needed. Track customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for growth.

 

About You

 

  • Significant experience in field sales and account management within FMCG.
  • Proven track record in leading and developing teams.
  • Skilled in territory planning and resource optimisation.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and P&L management skills.
  • Excellent relationship management, decision making, and communication skills.
