Business Development Executive – Retail | Northern Tasmania

Your Impact
As a Business Development Executive (Retail) with Asahi Beverages, you’ll be the face of our brands across Northern Tasmania – driving growth, execution, and customer engagement across a wide territory. Covering independent retail liquor outlets from Bicheno to Strahan (including Launceston, Devonport, Ulverston, Burnie, Spreyton and surrounds), this is a key role in a highly competitive market where relationships and execution make the difference. Representing a leading multi-beverage portfolio, you’ll have the opportunity to influence outcomes and grow share for some of Australia’s most iconic brands, including Great Northern, Carlton Dry, VB, and Hard Rated.

Key Accountabilities

Manage a defined retail territory across ~60 independent liquor outlets (Celebrations, Bottle-O, Thirsty Camel, etc.)
Complete an average of 4–5 customer calls per day, ensuring promotional compliance, brand visibility, and impactful execution
Travel extensively within the territory, including regular runs along the east and west coasts (as far as Bicheno and Strahan)
Drive distribution, depletions, and off-location displays during key promotional periods (e.g. footy finals, summer activations)
Build strong, long-term relationships with key groups such as ALM, Goodstone Group, and local banner retailers
Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues across orders, logistics, and stock management
Uphold safety and wellbeing standards while operating independently in the field

About You

Previous sales experience within FMCG, ideally alcohol or beverages, or strong retail/liquor background with transferable skills
Proven ability to influence trade partners and build effective customer relationships
Organised, resilient, and comfortable managing a large territory with significant travel
Self-motivated, commercially minded, and focused on delivering results in a competitive market
Current driver’s licence required
