Packaging Team Leader

 

Your Impact

We’re seeking a proactive and hands-on Packaging Team Leader to lead and support a team of packaging operators in a fast-paced production environment. Based at our Yatala site, this role ensures packaging lines run efficiently and safely, while meeting daily targets across quality, cost, and delivery. You’ll be responsible for coordinating people, materials, and processes to ensure performance is optimised across your shift.

Please note: This role involves working 12-hour rotating shifts across days and nights.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team to deliver production plans and meet safety, quality, and output targets

• Monitor packaging line performance and troubleshoot issues to reduce downtime

• Manage shift resourcing, team development, and labour cost control

• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and site safety standards

• Complete shift reports, inspections, and quality documentation

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support site-wide performance goals

About You

You’re a natural leader with strong technical understanding of packaging or high-speed manufacturing, and you thrive in a fast-paced environment. You lead with a can-do attitude, focus on people, and maintain high attention to detail.

You will have:

• Experience in FMCG, packaging, or high-speed manufacturing

• Strong leadership capability and team management experience

• Solid understanding of GMP, HACCP, and safety practices

• Ability to work under pressure, prioritise, and meet daily targets

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience highly regarded
