Join the award-winning Green Beacon Brewing Co. as our next Brewer, where you’ll take the lead on hands-on brewing, cellaring, and packaging across our manual 12HL system. Based at Fortitude Valley and reporting to the Acting Head Brewer, you’ll craft small-batch, high-quality beer while supporting a smooth production handover during maternity leave.

This is a great opportunity to work in a tight-knit, passionate team and make an impact on quality, consistency, and the day-to-day rhythm of our Teneriffe brewery.

 

Please note: This role is a 13-month Fixed Term Contract to cover parental leave.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out end-to-end brewing tasks: milling, wort production, yeast pitching, fermentation management, dry hopping, and cellar operations
• Perform daily quality checks, lab work, sensory assessments, and maintain detailed brewing records
• Execute cleaning and sanitisation processes including CIP, chemical handling and strict hygiene protocols
• Support packaging operations: kegging, keg cleaning and assisting with canning runs
• Maintain brewery and warehouse housekeeping, pallet wrapping, and stock movement as required
• Work collaboratively with the Acting Head Brewer and Assistant Brewer to ensure smooth production flow and consistent output

 

About You

• Minimum 2+ years’ professional brewing experience and confident working independently
• Comfortable operating manual and small-batch brewing systems (12HL experience highly regarded)
• Strong understanding of brewing best practices, food safety, hygiene and quality requirements
• Physically fit, reliable and comfortable with hands-on, labour-intensive work
• Forklift licence preferred; brewing/TAFE/IBD qualification desirable
• Must have a full driver's licence
• Passionate about craft beer, detail-focused, safety-driven, and a genuine team player
